Sirius Buying Group joins forces with Electrical Safety First
Sirius Buying Group, one of the UK’s major buying groups in the electrical appliance and kitchen retail industry has announced it has joined forces with UK charity, Electrical Safety First, as marketing partner of the 2025 Electrical Product Safety Conference, hosted in conjunction with the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization.
Electrical Safety First is a campaigning charity that aims to improve electrical safety standards in UK homes by collaborating with the Government, electrical industry, manufacturers, retailers, and consumer safety organisations to reduce deaths and injuries caused by electricity.
The Electrical Product Safety Conference takes place at The Mermaid London on the 16th October 2025, and each year, this event brings together leading experts from across the industry to explore critical issues, solutions and insights in safer electrical products from initial concept to the end consumer.
This one-day event will be attended by 200+ Government departments, manufacturers, retailers, importers, lawyers, fire and rescue services, and test houses, with this year’s theme exploring the key trends impacting the electrical product industry and going Back to Basics.
Mark Veysey, operations director at Sirius, said: “A range of engaging presentations, panel discussions and fireside chats will cover topics from safer products – a legislative update to counterfeit goods, and a look ahead to what changes and developments are on the horizon so that we’re in a position to best advise the Sirius membership.”
