Bathroom manufacturer hib. is challenging bathroom designers to create a 'mirror that dares to be different' with the launch of a new design competition.

The Reflect ’25 Design Competition invites both established professionals and emerging creatives to design a mirror that challenges conventional thinking while offering something fresh, functional and trend-defining for the UK market. Entrants are encouraged to push boundaries with concepts that showcase style and innovation.

The winner will receive a prize package sponsored by ArtiCAD, which includes a £500/€500 high street voucher and a six-month subscription to either ArtiCAD-Pro or ArtiVR software. Plus, if their design gets prototyped, the winner will get an exclusive trip to hib.’s factory to see their design being made

Alex Rollinger, senior marketing & operations executive at ArtiCAD, said: “We’re proud to support our Supplier Partner hib. in this competition as their prize sponsor. At ArtiCAD, we’re passionate about providing design professionals with the very best in software solutions. Competitions like this are a vital platform for designers to showcase their skills and we’re delighted to play a part in recognising and rewarding their creativity.”

To enter, designers are asked to submit visualisations of their concept alongside an overview of the specifications and a short rationale explaining the thinking behind the design. Considerations such as sustainability, style, materials and finishes are all expected to play a role in the judging process.

Jasmine Rowe, senior product designer at hib. said: “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at hib. and the Reflect ’25 Design Competition is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the creativity and talent within the bathroom design community. The bathroom mirror is a product that plays such a central role in everyday life, and we’re excited to see how designers will challenge convention and bring fresh ideas to this staple of the modern bathroom.

“By opening up the design process in this way, we hope to inspire new thinking, uncover unique perspectives and ultimately shape products that truly resonate with customers.”

The deadline for entries is Friday 31st October 2025. Shortlisting is set to take place during November and December with the winner due to be announced in January 2026.
