BIFIS welcomes record number of applications in September

The British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists (BIFIS) has announced a landmark achievement, having registered a record-breaking 86 new independent installation businesses, consisting of 121 individual installers, in September – a surge that marks the highest single-month intake in the organisation’s almost 20-year history.

BIFIS CEO Damian Walters said: “We celebrate continued growth in 2025 in, what has been, an incredible year for the organisation so far. Whilst the skills gap largely remains an unchanged challenge for us all, it is clear that professional installers are choosing BIFIS as a powerful tool for their business and perhaps this is a sign that these businesses are needing a credible way to separate themselves from ‘the others’.”
