Bill Miller – Why you should visit the KBBG stand at KBB Birmingham

Bill Miller, MD of the Kitchen Bathroom Buying Group, explains why it will be worth your while to visit the KBBG stand at KBB Birmingham in March.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your stand – what's going to be different about it?
A: For the first time, we are exhibiting with our very own, sole-branded KBBG stand at KBB Birmingham. In previous years, we have partnered with one of our kitchen suppliers on a co-branded stand. This shows how far the KBBG has come since its launch over 10 years ago. When the buying group first started in the UK, we had a very small presence at KBB Birmingham. Our profile at the exhibition has grown throughout the years, thanks to the support of our suppliers. Now, in 2024, we are able to fully showcase KBBG’s kitchen and bathroom offering through different zones and plenty of meeting space (in hall 19, stand K84).

Q: What will attract visitors to your stand do you think?
A: The KBBG offers a service, rather than a physical product, which naturally makes designing an exhibition stand trickier. However, while we are the primary exhibitor, we still have the support of our suppliers to bring the space to life.

The stand will include a beautiful kitchen from Nobilia’s Vivari range. Vivari is exclusively produced for Der Kreis/KBBG by the leading German furniture manufacturer, Nobilia. The kitchen will also feature Smeg appliances and a Blanco sink. Also being showcased on the stand is a bathroom that will comprise furniture from Decosan, brassware from Ramon Soler and a Roman shower enclosure. These products will help to entice visitors onto the stand and our team will be on hand to explain how to get access to the ranges, while benefitting from KBBG’s buying power.

Additionally, this year we are displaying the tagline ‘guaranteed savings’ on our stand. Retailers are often unaware of the genuine savings – financial and time – that they can make for their business by joining the KBBG. By emphasising this, we hope to attract prospective new members to come onto our stand and learn about the many benefits of joining our buying group.

Q: Do you have any new services to showcase?
A: In addition to our kitchen and bathroom zones, the third area on our stand is dedicated to mykitchenspecialist.co.uk. This is another first for the KBBG at KBB Birmingham. We launched the consumer-facing website mykitchenspecialist.co.uk over a year ago; and it will be a major focus for us at KBB 2024. mykitchenspecialist.co.uk brings KBBG members together to form the UK’s leading network of independent kitchen specialists, to help consumers who are planning a kitchen renovation. Visitors to the stand will be able to interact with the website first-hand, to experience how joining the mykitchenspecialist.co.uk network could benefit their business, including delivering new leads.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about the show?
A: Meeting new people, learning about their businesses and discussing how we can support them. Joining the KBBG can provide improved margins, access to a wide range of leading suppliers and service providers, plus invaluable business support. We are also looking forward to seeing our current members and telling them about our latest developments and exciting plans for the year, including another exclusive webinar that is in the pipeline, plus our upcoming Annual Members’ Meeting.
