Egger, Cleaf and Blum team up to open Clerkenwell showroom

Egger, Cleaf and Blum – 3 family-owned companies with 'a united passion for innovative interior design solutions' – have come together to create common brand experience in a combined showroom in the heart of London’s design district Clerkenwell. The inspirational interiors showroom is set to open its doors in the Autumn. Led by Egger, the partnered space will provide a 'hub of creativity, design inspiration, material education and more', attracting architects, interior designers and specifiers from all over the world.

Egger is a global manufacturer of a wide portfolio of materials including decorative faced panels, lacquered panels, laminates, edging, worktops, decorative flooring and structural flooring. A family business founded in 1961, it began producing chipboard from sawmill by-products, creating a market for this waste product and diverting it from landfill or biomass. Egger prides itself on its carbon retaining and recyclable materials. Now operating from 22 plants internationally, its materials are specified, fabricated and installed worldwide in multiple sectors.

Cleaf is an Italian company producing innovative surfaces for furniture and interiors, founded in 1975 by the Caspani family. The company is synonymous with high-end products renowned for their exceptional texture design. Its faced panels, laminates and edging, exclusively manufactured at production sites in Brianza, are installed worldwide by architects and companies building inspirational spaces for living and working. Building on a decades-long relationship between the owning families Egger and Caspani, the 2 companies commenced joint projects in 2019. The Egger family now owns 27.5% of Cleaf.

Blum is a global manufacturer of innovate fittings and technical solutions for furniture and interiors, and is market leading in the manufacture of products including hinge systems, runners, lift systems and motion technologies. It specialises in technical solutions for furniture and innovative ways to make the most out space. The company was founded in 1952 in Austria, and now manufactures in 6 countries internationally.

The showroom space is set to combine the materials of the 3 brands in an immersive display and working space. It will open its doors temporarily at Clerkenwell Design Week. Visitors can join the brands from 21st - 23rd May for a sneak peek of what is to come, with new product display, a series of talks and workshops, and networking events across the 3-day event.
