See inside Diss Ironworks' immersive new kitchen appliance showroom
Diss Ironworks has reopened its doors following a significant refurbishment by owners Hannah and Matt Hyde – the aim is to create an immersive and inspirational showroom experience.
Diss Ironworks, one of East Anglia’s most respected kitchen appliance showrooms, has reopened as a flagship Aga Rangemaster destination, bringing together some of the world’s most prestigious kitchen brands in a newly redesigned space.
Owned by Hannah and Matt Hyde (pictured above left and centre with Middleby Residential UK MD Dominic Worsley, right) the company was founded in 1973 by Matt Hyde’s parents, Peter and Anne Hyde. Since then, Diss Ironworks has grown to become a mainstay of Norfolk’s design scene and is known for its personal service, expert knowledge and commitment to quality.
“Diss Ironworks is a model for what an Aga Rangemaster luxury destination can be,” said Jenny Nalborczyk, marketing manager at Aga Rangemaster. “We’re thrilled to partner with Hannah and Matt, who have created a truly extraordinary showroom. It brings together our portfolio of iconic brands in a beautiful, curated, highly tactile environment that allows customers to experience craftsmanship, performance and design first-hand.”
Following an investment of £500,000, the transformed showroom now showcases the full depth and quality of the Aga Rangemaster luxury portfolio – from the enduring appeal of cast-iron, heat-storage Aga cookers to the refined elegance of French cooker brand La Cornue, and the award-winning innovation of Novy and AGA Outdoors.
Key features of the showroom include:
• The entire Aga collection is on display, including eR3 and eR7 models, R3 and R7 cookers, Aga ERA, the new Raspberry shade and the Aga 60, the smallest model at just 60cm wide
• A dedicated La Cornue presentation zone showcasing the best of French culinary design and including a Grand Palais 180, a CornuFé 110, two Albertine cookers and the Flamberge rotisserie
• An outdoor kitchen living area featuring the AGA Outdoor Grill. The room has commercial grade extraction so live demonstrations will be possible indoors throughout the year
• The UK’s first live display of the Novy Undercover Induction Hob – a hugely innovative invisible hob set in a 20mm Deckton worktop
• A design studio where architects, kitchen designers and homeowners can collaborate. Set across 5,500sq ft, the showroom has been designed to inspire and inform, while offering customers an immersive experience way beyond traditional retail
The most comprehensive showroom of its kind in the region, it aims to draw design-conscious clients from across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, London and beyond – bringing new footfall and attention to the town of Diss, enhancing the area’s growing reputation as a destination for interiors and lifestyle.
“This is about future-proofing the showroom and giving our customers something truly exceptional,” said Hannah Hyde. “We’re proud to remain rooted in our history while evolving to reflect the very best of modern kitchen living. The partnership with Aga Rangemaster marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration and together we’ve created something that is more than just a showroom. It’s an immersive, design-led space created to spark imagination and celebrate innovation.”
Throughout the year Diss Ironworks will host a rolling calendar of brand-led events where guests can see the appliances in action, as talented chefs whip up delicious dishes while showcasing every feature. The showroom also boasts its own bar, offering a line-up of healthy juices, speciality coffees, artisan teas and a few indulgent surprises.
The relaunch was marked by a packed launch event with more than 70 attendees, including interiors press, kitchen designers and brand partners. Guests enjoyed live demonstrations, refreshments and an exclusive first look at the new showroom environment.
