Villeroy & Boch introduces Artis washbasins in new colours
Villeroy & Boch’s Artis surface-mounted washbasins are now available in 4 new full-surface matt shades – Pure Black, Almond, Nightfall and Teal (pictured here). The company says that Artis reflects the trend towards dark and earthy shades in its signature style. Designed by Gesa Hansen, the Artis surface-mounted washbasins are available in 4 shapes – round, oval, square and rectangular.
The introduction of the new colourways reflects the trend for earthy, dark shades. “They create a sense of security”, said Hansen. “In an increasingly hectic, uprooted world, we yearn for peaceful havens. The depth effect of shadows and darkness creates a kind of shelter from the stimulation of the outside world.”
With Nightfall, a deep midnight blue, and Pure Black, a calming deep black, she has chosen two colours that address this need for security. The shades are rounded off by “beams of light”: Almond, a soft, warm beige, and Teal, a vibrant blue-green. These can be used to add accents and contrasts.
The 4 new shades are not just extending the colour spectrum of the Artis collection. As well as the familiar BiColour series, for the first time the selection also includes single-coloured surface-mounted washbasins that bring even greater intensity and calm into the bathroom. Like all other pieces, they are made from high-quality TitanCeram, leaving customers impressed by their exceptional stability. All Artis surface-mounted washbasins can be combined with furniture from collections including Finion and Antao. Artis Guest offers a smaller-sized version in round and oval shapes for guest bathrooms.
