Cyncly launches Virtual Worlds 8.7 featuring new Cycles rendering engine
Cyncly has launched version 8.7 of its Virtual Worlds design software, which features updates to improve speed, realism and workflow for bathroom designers and retailers.
Central to the update is the new Cycles photorealistic rendering engine, which delivers enhanced realism, faster performance and simplified lighting workflows for high-quality visual output.
Unlike previous rendering methods, Cycles removes the need for manually placed photographic or VR lights, instead producing accurate lighting, shadows, reflections and material effects automatically. This means bathroom designs can be rendered with lifelike clarity in less time, giving clients a true-to-life impression of how their finished space will look with realistic shadows, reflections and surface effects all incorporated. Other features include faster rendering, especially for frosted glass, brushed metal and high-resolution output, smaller video files in .mkv format, more consistent visuals across devices and projects and full compatibility with the Standalone Renderer (SAR).
Cycles is now the default render engine in Virtual Worlds 8.7. Designers simply open the Create Image dialogue, confirm Cycles is selected and start rendering, streamlining the process with less configuration needed.
Lauren Pell, product manager for Virtual Worlds, said: “With Cycles, we’re giving designers the tools to present spaces in a way that feels both realistic and achievable, while also cutting down the time and technical know-how required to produce high-quality visuals.
“Virtual Worlds 8.7 is about making everyday design faster, simpler and more effective, helping retailers inspire customers and close sales.”
